An exceptional scented candle, entirely handcrafted in France. Each precious vessel is made from fine Limoges porcelain and finished with a lustrous glaze that lends it an elegant, enamel-like sheen. The exterior showcases the distinctive Tometo Noir pattern. Tometo, meaning "tile" in Provençal French, is a quintessential design element that frequently appears in the traditional bastides of Provence. We decided to present the design in its original form as an homage to the rich cultural heritage of the region. The design is further elevated by genuine platinum detailing.

This candle is the result of an extraordinary collaboration: six French artisans— each a master of their craft—bringing together generations of savoir-faire to produce a single work of art. This precious candle is a true masterpiece—born of centuries of tradition, artistry and fine craftsmanship—and proudly bears the Artisans d'Art label.

The fragrance blends the finest essences of precious woods with notes of leather, tobacco leaves, amber, and everlasting flowers, capturing the sun-drenched, captivating soul of Provence.

Characteristics

Precious rechargeable scented candle made from a blend of natural waxes featuring a cotton wick and presented in a fine Limoges porcelain vessel featuring the Tometo Noir design enhanced with genuine platinum detailing. The glazed vessel measures 9.5cm in height and ships in a box measuring 22.5cm × 13cm × 11cm.

Tips

Burn candle for 1 to 2 hours at a time in order to allow the fragrance to diffuse properly and the entire surface of the candle to liquify. Use a candle snuffer to extinguish your candle; never blow on a candle to extinguish a flame. Once candle is extinguished and has been allowed to cool, trim cotton wick to a length of 0.5 cm. Proper wick maintenance will help to ensure that the candle burns properly and will help to prevent the accumulation of soot on the walls of the vessel. Never use melted wax for massage. Candle wax melts at high temperatures and can cause burns. May cause allergic reaction. Avoid contact with skin. Clean empty vessels in the dishwasher. Vessels may be refilled with any one of our 28 scented candle refills (sold separately).

The Designer

Magali Fleurquin Bonnard, creator of Rose et Marius, worked for 15 years in the luxury industry, notably for Piaget, Kenzo and Christian Lacroix. After a one-year trip around the world, she realized the sympathy of her native region, Provence.

She decided to create the first luxury fragance brand of Provence in 2012 based on her olfactory memories in her grandmother's bastide in Provence.

Rewarded in 2017 by the Label des Artisans d'Art for the excellence of its creations Made in France and then in 2022 by Emmanuel Macron who awarded her the insignia of the National Order of Merit, Rose et Marius never ceases to seduce France and the International with its original and refined olfactory creations.
